I just want to be the kind of artist that touches peoples heartstrings. I see beauty in so many things and I hope viewer will feel the emotion of my work.

I am a wife and mother of four children and two grandchildren. I've been a hair designer for 50 years. My love of art began back in the 70's. I currently own and operate my own hair salon called "JD Designs", so art has been a huge part of my life. Doing artwork is my passion.

My ETSY store began around the time my husband lost his job after 27 years of work with a large pharmaceutical company who had to downsize. So I found it necessary to create another business along with my JD Designs (hair salon) where I could work weekends painting and producing originals and reproductions to supplement our income.

I started doing watercolor 31 years ago . I am deeply intrigued by the hidden challenges watercolor. Exploring the unknown nature of it has aroused my curiosity and creativity. The creation of a watercolor painting is a complicated process, but I find it extremely pleasurable. The final mastery that I can achieve with the brush gives me the unequaled thrill of being able to create without hesitation whatever my eye sees as well as that which I can imagine.

My objective is to make my artwork come alive and excite the viewer, and hopefully help others expand their artistic vision.
